The 4 Sections of Humboldt Park

Humboldt North:
Humboldt North has the first phase complete with all infrastructure and utilities in place. Sites are selling fast in this growing section of Humboldt Industrial Park.
Phase 2 is also underway with roads slated for design and construction which should be completed May 2007.

Humboldt East:
This tax-free KOZ section has all infrastructure and utilities in place. 5 sites are zoned industrial, 1 site is zoned commercial. CAN DO's first commercial/retail project, which features 12 pad-ready parcels earmarked for two hotels, several restaurants and retail shopping.

Humboldt West:
This section opened a few years ago, and is nearly full. OfficeMax built their largest distribution center here. Cargill, Michaels, First Quality Nonwoven's Inc. also call this section home.

Humboldt:
This original section of the park is also nearly full, but some vacancies exist. Hershey Foods located a facility here, as did Hilton Reservations Worldwide, General Mills, Simmons and NBTY.

Taking your needs to the extreme

Stretching for five miles along Route 924, Humboldt is the largest industrial park in Greater Hazleton.

The 3,000-acre Humboldt Industrial Park is located at the on/off ramp for Exit 143 of Interstate 81, and is minutes from the interchange of Interstate 80 - putting it in the center of half the population and half the total production of the entire nation.

Humboldt wasn't just carved out of a section of a community. The infrastructure was designed specifically to support industries in an industrial park. CAN DO, Humboldt's nationally known developer, established a system of 12- and 16-inch ductile steel-lined pipes that connect to the park's dedicated water source. The park's tenants are the sewer system's only customers. The roads are hard-surfaced. Utilities stretch to existing curbs so developers don't have to extend lines great distances or dig under the road to reach them. CAN DO owns and maintains the rail lines, and Norfolk Southern provides daily service to many Humboldt sites.

Sites in Humboldt offer a continuous local power supply, daily rail service, an ample water system designed specifically for industries, a high-pressure gas main, and state-of-the-art fiber optic and telecommunications network.

There are ideal sites for all types of businesses - manufacturing, corporate offices, warehouse distribution, commercial, and even retail/service.

The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) recognized the potential of sites inside Humboldt Industrial Park and designated several parcels as SelecTech-Sites, meaning they have the greatest potential to house high-technology industry. And that potential isn't just on paper - those sites have upgraded infrastructure and technology in place right now.

The advantages to locating in Humboldt Industrial Park aren't limited to the great location, in-place infrastructure, and available workforce. Many sites in the park are also Keystone Opportunity Zones (KOZs). The award-winning KOZ program allows select companies locating in a zone to enjoy forgiveness from all state and local taxes for years - in some cases, through 2013. Hundreds of acres of sites across the Humboldt Industrial Park have been designated KOZs.


Humboldt Station

CAN DO's first commercial/retail project, which features 12 pad-ready parcels earmarked for two hotels, several restaurants and retail shopping. The 28-acre Humboldt Station project is located in Humboldt Industrial Park East, just off Interstate 81 on Route 924 and only a few miles south of Interstate 80.

The addition of Humboldt Station to the Humboldt Industrial Parks creates the perfect environment for businesses and the community to continue to thrive. The addition of hotels adds convenience for both business and leisure travelers alike, while family and fast-food restaurants are in the perfect location to serve not only those who work in nearby industries, but also those traveling on Interstate 81 through the busy Hazleton corridor.

Tenants for Humboldt Station are being sought by Lincoln Property Company, which will act as CAN DO's marketing agent in helping fill Humboldt Station with the right mix of businesses. CAN DO received a highway occupancy permit from PennDOT for the entrance way into Humboldt Station and began marketing three of the twelve pad sites. The remaining sites will be marketed upon completion of Phase I of the SR 924 road widening project.
